To Define a Superseding Relationship Between Two Documents

Select one of the documents that either will be superseded by or supersedes the other one.
Expand the Superseding topic.
Do one of the following:

In the next available row, select the Relationship type from the list (Superseded By or Supersedes), then in the Number and Revision fields enter the number and revision of the document you want.

or
Click the Query Documents link to search for the relevant document(s), then drag the document(s) you want into the Superseding topic. When the Document Relationship dialog opens, select the appropriate relationship type (Superseded By or Supersedes).

The superseded document displays the following warning message: This Document is Superseded.

Tip: Click the Delete icon next to a document in the list to remove the superseding relationship between the two documents.
